Club Catalina Weekly Competition Schedule

Tuesday: Men’s 18-hole competition, Wednesday: Ladies 18-hole competition + 6-hole Cadet after school competition, Thursday: Men’s and Ladies 9-hole + Vets (MSCVGA affiliated) competition + 6-hole Cadet after school competition, Saturday: 18-hole medley event (separate Men’s/Ladies competitions).

Golf Course Dress Regulations

The following are not permitted on the golf course for both men and women.

Footwear
The use of bare feet or thongs, hard soled shoes with a heel, golf shoes with metal spikes and any footwear resembling the aforementioned is not permitted.

Clothing
Articles of clothing such as or similar to tracksuit pants, swimwear (including board shorts), gym or football attire, singlets, excessively revealing clothing, and placement of inappropriate images or words on any apparel are not permitted.

Management’s decision shall be final in all matters relating to dress and behaviour.

Club Catalina Honour Boards

Hole 1

A short opening par 4 dogleg right with OOB on the right side. A med-long iron short of fairway bunker. Short iron approach to small putting surface. Blue Tee: Metres 297m, Par 4 White Tee: Metres 289m, Par 4 Red Tee: Metres 287m, Par 4

Hole 2

A solid tee shot down the left side with driver will leave you with a good mid iron to a decent par 4. Narrow green well surrounded by bunkers. Tee: Blue, Metres: 376m, Par: 4 Tee: White, Metres: 360m, Par: 4 Tee: Red, Metres: 330m, Par: 4

Hole 3

A straight-forward dogleg right par 5. Driver off the tee and mid iron second shot will leave you a short iron into a large green. Tee: Blue, Metres: 481m, Par: 5 Tee: White, Metres: 467m, Par: 5 Tee: Red, Metres: 395m, Par: 5

Hole 4

Three wood for placement down right side of fairway will allow you to avoid hazard left of tee, short-mid iron approach with water hazard behind green. Tee: Blue, Metres: 349m, Par: 4 Tee: White, Metres: 340m, Par: 4 Tee: Red, Metres: 323m, Par: 4

Hole 5

Long iron or fairway wood to a lengthy par 3 with OOB left and water hazard right. Small green surround by 3 bunkers. Tee: Blue, Metres: 167m, Par: 3 Tee: White, Metres: 162m, Par: 3 Tee: Red, Metres: 141m, Par: 3

Hole 6

Hit driver on this long par 4 to wide open fairway. Long iron second shot will leave a simple short iron to a large green. Tee: Blue, Metres: 501m, Par: 5 Tee: White, Metres: 485m, Par: 5 Tee: Red, Metres: 445m, Par: 5

Hole 7

A mid iron to tricky par 3 with a water hazard short and left of green. TieTee: Red, Metres: putting surface will test all players. Tee: Blue, Metres: 147m, Par: 3 Tee: White, Metres: 130m, Par: 3 Tee: Red, Metres: 120m, Par: 3

Hole 8

Driver or 3 wood to narrow fairway will leave you a strong mid iron to a long green that slopes back to front. Tee: Blue, Metres: 359m, Par: 4 Tee: White, Metres: 342m, Par: 4 Tee: Red, Metres: 292m, Par: 4

Hole 9

Long iron or fairway wood off the tee will get to the corner of the dog leg, creating a mid iron to large green sloping back to front that is surrounded by four bunkers. Tee: Blue, Metres: 354m, Par: Tee: White, Metres: 341m, Par: 4 Tee: Red, Metres: 331m, Par: 4

Hole 10

Important to hit fairway with 3 wood or Hybrid avoiding tight tree line. This leaves you with a solid mid iron to a three-tiered green that will test anyone.

Hole 11

A straight forward par 3 with a big receptive green. Play this hole with a mid long iron, avoid trouble left of green.

Hole 12

Short par 5 which allows the bigger hitter to get home in two, alternatively lay up with mid-long iron leaving you with a simple pitch into the green which slopes right to left.

Hole 13

A wide open, downhill par 4 which is best played with Driver to the left side of fairway leaves you an approach shot with a mid-iron to a large green sloping from back to front.

Hole 14

Our par 3 signature hole has water to the right and front of the green, usually played with a short-mid iron to a generous green.

Hole 15

A tough par 4 with OOB to the right, a tight tee shot with Driver or 3 wood leaving you with a mid-iron to an extremely small green.

Hole 16

A tricky par 5 with OOB to the right all the way to the green. Driver off the tee then a mid – long iron second shot to avoid water hazard short right of the green will create a short iron into a large three tiered green that slopes back to front. Two putts here is a good effort.

Hole 17

With OOB right off the tee. A 3 wood or long iron to the left of fairway bunkers avoiding water hazard to the left off the tee. This will create a simple mid iron to a flat green that is surrounded by bunkers.

Hole 18

This short par 4 has OOB all the way down the right of the hole, taking 3 wood or long iron for placement is the safe option leaving a short iron over a water hazard to a large green that slopes from back to front.

Hole 19

Three-wood off the tee short of the fairway trap avoiding the trees on the right will leave a mid-iron to a flat green with deep bunkers to the right.

Hole 20

A three-wood off the tee to the right of large tree will leave a short – mid-iron to the green.

Tee: Blue, Metres: 340m; Par: 4

Hole 21

This short par 5 is reachable in two if the placement of your drive is just left of fairway bunkers, approach shot to green is tight with trees just left of the green. Try to avoid difficult bunker 20 meters short of the green.

Hole 22

A short par 4 usually played with three-wood off the tee for placement, will leave a short iron into a narrow green with a water hazard to the right and a large bunker to the left.

Hole 23

Toughest par 3 on the course requiring a long iron or fairway wood, with hazards surrounding the green. Causes a lot of trouble for the wood ducks.

Hole 24

This tight par 4 with OOB all the way down the left. Driver off the tee should leave you with a short iron into a tricky green sloping towards the player.

Hole 25

A simple uphill par 3 with a deep green side bunker on the right. With a large green can invite some tricky pin placements.

Hole 26

A short dog leg right par 5 can be reached in two if tee shot gets to the corner, if not can be a three-shot hole with a simple pitch to an easy green. Avoid trouble to both sides of the fairway off the tee.

Hole 27

This short par 4 has a water hazard all the way down the left side. A driver or 3 wood off the tee will leave a simple short iron to a two tiered green. Great opportunity to finish the round with a birdie.
