Over the course of the Summer, young golfer, Sophie Eppelstun has had an incredibly busy schedule!

Her schedule included competing in the Australian Amateur at the Yarra Yarra and Keysborough Golf Clubs in Melbourne; the Avondale Amateur; the NSW Amateur at the Belmont and Pacific Dunes Golf Club, as well as the Champion of Champions at Manly Golf Club.

THE RESULTS:

Sophie had some amazing results across these events finishing 3^rd at the NSW Amateur, 2^nd at the Avondale Amateur and taking the title in a playoff for the NSW Champion of Champions.

From her performance at the NSW Amateur she was awarded the 2024 NSW Country Cup as the highest finishing player from Country NSW.

Overall, Sophie was again named in the NSW Junior team to contest the Australian Junior Interstate Series later this year in Perth. Sophie captained the NSW Junior girls team last year that successfully won both the girls and overall Teams event for 2023.

A higher nomination also came her way from her achievements by being named in the NSW Open Age Women’s Interstate Team which now mean Sophie will compete for the national title in Queensland in May.

Sophie’s dedication and hard work is progressing her career along and the results are starting to show with her improved scoring average and list of results in the events she competes in!
